About
Natasha Rose is an internationally award-winning Scottish composer, musician, and filmmaker whose work bridges classical composition, film, and traditional narrative. Based in Scotland, she is the founder and Artistic Director of Foxfire Arts, a creative platform dedicated to producing socially responsible art for 21st-century audiences.
An alumna of the prestigious Sound and Music network, Natasha received her foundational training at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, where she uniquely combined studies in Music and Film. Her distinctive creative voice has earned numerous accolades, including the John McLeod Composition Award, the Norman Quinney Award, multiple Agar Trust Awards, and a full scholarship from the Martin Read Foundation.
Alongside her traditional training, Natasha is also trained in harp therapy, bringing a rare depth and holistic perspective to her relationship with the instrument and its expressive potential.
Driven by a passion for accessibility and cross-disciplinary collaboration, Natasha’s work frequently blends genres and art forms. This approach is exemplified in her flagship project, MossyCoat, an evocative film and performance work celebrating the heritage of Scotland’s Travelling Community, developed in collaboration with acclaimed storyteller Jess Smith. The project weaves together music, moving image, contemporary dance, and oral storytelling traditions to create an immersive audience experience.
Her compositions and films have been presented at major cultural venues, including Glasgow Film Theatre, St Giles’ Cathedral, and Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.
